WHY WE EXIST
Most people struggle with money. 3 out of 4 Americans live paycheck to paycheck, have little to no savings and live a stress-filled life with the amount of debt they owe. It’s time to stop following culture’s advice on how to spend money and find a different path. Financial Purpose Pathway was created to bring forth a new conversation about money based on biblical wisdom. The beauty of God’s advice is the simplicity and practical application to our everyday life.
HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT
It’s no secret, managing our money is confusing. As Christians, we want to be faithful with what God gives us. We set out with the best intentions, but then we look at our bank account and realize there is no roadmap to follow. One bill, one trip to the grocery store, one expense at a time, our intentions get lost in our daily spending.
Being faithful with our money goes beyond just tithing. God’s wisdom about money includes all financial aspects. Financial Purpose Pathway will help you create a framework to manage spending, savings, debt and above all, give cheerfully. The beauty of this framework is that it’s designed to honor God’s wisdom.
Meet the Team
Financial Purpose Pathway is a not-for-profit 501(c)3. We have a volunteer board with no paid staff. Our team is committed to make a difference in the financial lives of the people we serve. We believe the best place to make changes to one’s financial habits is in journey with God.
As a result, we focus on scripture and wisdom to guide the foundation and fundamentals with our content. We welcome partnership with churches across the country to bring Financial Purpose Pathway to all Christians.

Todd and Barb Sipe
With over 40 years of banking experience, Todd has seen the good, bad and ugly when it comes to household finances. Drawn by the challenging stories he had encountered, Todd spent most of his career focusing on banking solutions to help people with their finances. A break through emerged in 2006 when he joined to lead Thrivent Financial Bank and Trust. For the first time in his career, he was able to openly combine faith and banking as Thrivent members are Christians. As the founder of Financial Purpose, Todd has committed his retirement years to guide people in following God’s wisdom with their money including spending, savings, debt and above all, generosity.
As a mom of four children, Barb is often called the CFO of the family. The core teaching of the framework used in Financial Purpose was developed early in their marriage. She continues to use this wisdom to manage cashflow and savings. Her knowledge and experience have contributed greatly to the foundation and content used in the book and course. She enjoys family time, lake life, walking, hiking and pickleball. Barb also serves on the board of Foster Together MN, who’s mission is to walk alongside foster, kinship and adoptive families.

Rachel and Aaron Jarvinen
Rachel and Aaron have been married for 14 years and have learned that if a couple is aligned on faith, family and financial health, all the rest is negotiable! They enjoy raising their two children, balancing roles as part-time chauffeurs, monitoring screen times, coaching sports, volunteering at their church, and spending quality time with family and friends. They are passionate about inspiring others to achieve financial freedom, empowering them to serve their communities more effectively.
Rachel has built a diverse career in Marketing and Data Analytics, primarily serving credit unions and other financial institutions. She is dedicated to helping clients leverage data insights to identify and solve problems. Aaron has extensive experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain roles with companies such as Honeywell, 3M, and Toro. He excels in leading cross-functional teams to support Operations, driving cost and cash efficiencies while delivering world-class service.
Together, Rachel and Aaron are committed to promoting the principles of faith and financial freedom, helping individuals and families create a stable and fulfilling future.

Greg Linz
Greg has served pastorally in the local church for 20 years and has a passion to see people understand the truth of God’s word and apply it to their everyday lives.
In working with Financial Purpose Pathway, he saw a great opportunity to apply God’s truth to one of the largest areas of struggle, personal finances.
Greg and His wife Amber pastor ZOE Church near the Twin Cities of MN. Beyond serving in the church, they enjoy staying physically active with their 3 children.

Karen Gajeski
Karen and Dennis have shared 38 wonderful years of marriage, blessed with two children, Andrew and Alexandra, who have found amazing spouses and given them two beautiful granddaughters. Their lives have always been guided by their faith, family, friends, and financial health.

With over 40 years in the banking industry, both Karen and Dennis have extensive experience. Karen, in particular, has dedicated her career to the mortgage sector, witnessing many industry changes that have sometimes negatively impacted families due to overbuying and a lack of resources for financial balance.

Recently, Karen has focused on developing an educational program at her workplace to help people understand the overall goals of qualifying for a home, including saving and budgeting. Her passion for teaching was sparked when her own children bought their homes, leading them to ask, "Why isn't this taught in schools?" This question inspired Karen to join Financial Purpose Pathway as a board member, where she continues to share her knowledge and passion for financial education.
